What Will I Be Charged When Enrolling?
When enrolling at The Dance Conservatory, here’s a breakdown of charges you can expect based on the season of enrollment:
Summer Trimester
At the time of registration, you will be charged:
$25 Registration Fee per dancer
First Month’s Tuition
Fall & Spring Trimesters (Combined Year Enrollment)
When registering for the Fall Trimester, we automatically assume your dancer will be participating in both the Fall and Spring Trimesters. At the time of Fall registration, you will be charged:
$65 Registration Fee per dancer
This covers both Fall and Spring registration and includes the digital copy of the Spring Showcase video
First Month’s Tuition
$40 Showcase Accessory Fee (Fall only; charged upon registration)
On January 1st, you will automatically be charged:
January Tuition
$100 Costume Fee per recital costume (Spring Showcase)
Important Notes:
The Accessory Fee is a one-time charge in the Fall Trimester to cover costs for the Winter Showcase performance.
Costume Fees are billed on January 1st and apply to the Spring Showcase only.
None of the above fees are refundable except the Costume Fee—only if the costume has not yet been ordered. Costume companies do not allow refunds once the order has been placed.
The Winter/Competition Showcase will not be video recorded. The Spring Showcase video is included in your $65 registration fee.
PAYMENT OF TUITION:
Tuition is due on the first class of each month. Monthly invoices will only be sent if payment is late. A $30 late fee will be applied to any tuition received after the 10th of the month. Payments can be made when you log into your account at any time. Tuition remains consistent each month, regardless of the number of weeks or scheduled breaks within that month.
If you’d prefer to pay for the full trimester upfront, please email us at info@thedanceconservatoryofsouthernmaine.com. Payments made in full for a trimester in cash are eligible for a 2% discount.

ACRO PROGRAM & TRAINING POLICY
Our Acro/Tumbling leveled classes are designed for dancers in 1st–12th grade and are based on skill level rather than age. Preschool and Kinder aged dancers have Acro classes for their age group. Please refer to our level chart to determine the best placement for your dancer. For the safety and progress of all students, we reserve the right to adjust class placements as needed to ensure dancers are in the appropriate level for their ability.
Safety is our top priority. To support that, students enrolled in Acro at The Dance Conservatory are not permitted to take Acro classes at other dance studios. While there are no Acro-certified programs nearby, we have built a strong, safe, and consistent curriculum rooted in Acrobatic Arts standards.
Outside instruction in Acro—particularly from unqualified or differently trained instructors—can conflict with our methods, hinder progress, and increase the risk of injury. That said, participation in gymnastics or cheer is absolutely welcome, as we understand and appreciate the differences in those disciplines.
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe, high-quality, and unified Acro experience for all our dancers.
